The Change-Makers Club prize winner announced

New members welcome

Congratulations to Sharon Sherlock, ATU St Angela’s, who is our latest winner in the new members draw for The Change-Makers Club hoodie. She is presented with her prize by OFPD Head of Governance and Faculty Support, Donal Loftus, from The Change-Makers Club.

Many thanks to all those who attended the ATU’s Change-Makers Club meeting earlier this week and to our speakers and ATU lecturers, Perry Share and Ben Kinsella, for two very engaging talks.

Keep an eye out for the newly published book, ‘The Irish pub: Invention and reinvention’ from Cork University Press, which Dr Share has co-edited with Dr Moonyoung Hong of University of Hong Kong. And, of course, for the invaluable tide calendars produced by Ben Kinsella.

The next meeting of The Change-Makers Club will take place in mid-December – the date will be confirmed once the speakers are finalised in the coming days. We will mark our last meeting of 2025 with a ‘Great Christmas Giveaway’ – no less than three new Change-Makers Club hoodies will be given away on the day.

So, watch this space.

What is The Change-Makers Club?

It’s an informal online gathering for ATU colleagues to discuss, connect, and learn about the meaningful advances being made across our community. Previously known as the Innovators Club, the initiative has expanded to include all ATU staff members, with a focus on collaboration, inspiration, and sharing ideas.

Whether you’re driving any kind of innovation in science or technology, leading projects in operations, marketing, entrepreneurship or contributing to any other role within the wider ATU community, we invite you to join The Change-Makers Club – where those who inspire, innovate, and lead come together to shape our future.

New members welcome.
