ATU MyCareerPath supports regional SME growth
Ask Me Anything event is a success
MyCareerPath proudly represented Atlantic Technological University (ATU) at the second Ask Me Anything event, hosted by Regional Skills West, Athlone Chamber, and the Local Enterprise Office at the Athlone Springs Hotel on Wednesday.
The event brought together experienced representatives from a range of regional organisations for a series of panel discussions focused on the challenges and opportunities facing SMEs. Professionally moderated by Kenny Deery, Regional Enterprise Plan Manager, the discussions explored topics including access to funding, networking opportunities, business scaling, and workforce upskilling and reskilling.

Bridie Killoran, HE4.0 Career and Learning Pathways Manager.
MyCareerPath Manager Bridie Killoran represented ATU on the upskilling and reskilling panel, alongside Emma Goode (University of Galway), Michelle Tierney (GRETB), Dr Michael Tobin (TUS), and Denise Rocks (Regional Skills West).
A key focus of the discussion was how SMEs can invest in workforce development when time and resources are limited. The panel highlighted the growing availability of flexible, bite-sized learning opportunities, including micro-credentials and Springboard programmes, as well as the funding supports available to help businesses access these programmes.
Across all panel discussions, a clear message emerged: there is a strong ecosystem of supports available to businesses across the region, and sometimes the most important step is simply to ask.
ATU MyCareerPath is delighted to support this valuable initiative and contribute to strengthening regional enterprise through collaboration, learning, and innovation.
ATU MyCareerPath is funded by Higher Education 4.0 under the Human Capital Initiative (HCI) Pillar 3.
