Staff and Students Work Based Learning Focus Groups

More ATU students required for focus group sessions

Atlantic Technological University (ATU) is undertaking a stakeholder engagement initiative – running focus groups for students and staff – as part of a MyCareerPath project to enhance its work-based learning and student placement structures.

This multi-stage project aims to streamline placement processes, improve student experiences, and strengthen partnerships with employers and stakeholders.

We’ve noticed that our engagement with students for the upcoming focus groups, commencing this week, has been lower than expected. To gather more comprehensive insights into their experiences during placements in the 2024-2025 academic year, we are reaching out to ask if you could help us by contacting a few students who recently completed their placements.

We would like to invite these students to participate in a focus group, which can be conducted either onsite or online, based on their preference. Sessions can be booked here.

€25 One4All voucher Draw ðŸŽ‰

There will be two focus group sessions this Thursday (16 October) in 1057 Boardroom at ATU Galway, Dublin Road. The first group (staff) will take place between 1pm to 2pm while the student group session will take place between 4pm to 5pm in the same venue.

On Friday, there are two online sessions for staff, between 11am-12pm and 2pm-3pm.

Our team will be visiting all ATU campuses over the coming weeks.

As a token of appreciation, students who participate will be automatically entered into a prize draw for a €25 One4All voucher (one entry per session).

It would be great if lecturers and teaching staff could pass on this information to their students.
